Manual Safety Valve Tester for PSV Calibration

The manual safety valve tester is a three-in-one safety valve test bench that is designed for safety valve popping test, reseating test and sealing test. It uses gas or water as the testing medium to simulate a high-pressure working environment of safety valve, thereby completing the safety valve pneumatic test or hydro test. We offer two versions for your selection: the pneumatic version uses air or nitrogen as the testing medium, with maximum test pressure 400bar; the hydro version uses water as the testing medium, with maximum test pressure 500bar. And both versions are compatible with flange type safety valves and thread type safety valves ranging from DN15 to DN300.

The safety valve test bench is equipped with a hydraulic clamp that consists of manual hydraulic pump, hydraulic cylinder and moveable clamping jaws. When you manually operate the hydraulic pump, it drives the hydraulic cylinder to generate a clamping force, which allows the clamping jaws to hold your safety valve firmly. The hydraulic clamp is compatible with treaded safety valves and flanged safety valves ranging from DN15 to DN300. The included adapters allow you to easily place a threaded safety valve on the hydraulic clamp. And the included sealing disks will help you seal and fix a flanged safety valve before testing.

How Safety Valve Test Bench Works

The safety valve test bench consists of power console and hydraulic clamp, and it uses gas or water as the testing medium. Firstly place your safety valve on the hydraulic clamp, and operate the hydraulic pump and adjust the clamping jaws to fix the safety valve firmly. Then start the built-in gas booster or high pressure pump to pressurize gas or water and inject high pressure medium into the safety valve. Through the various control valves and pressure gauges on panel, you can easily set or adjust testing pressure for safety valve popping test. If add a laser bubble counter, you can use the PSV test bench to perform safety valve leak rate testing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which safety valves is your PSV test bench suitable for?

The safety valve tester is compatible to fanged PSV and threaded PSV from DN15 to DN300.

Safety valve pneumatic test pressure up to 400bar and relief valve hydro test pressure up to 500bar. If you require a higher test pressure, please contact us for customization. High-pressure gas test has certain risks. For safety reasons, safety valve pneumatic test is limited to 400bar. If you require higher test pressure, please choose safety valve hydro test, which is very safe. And we can customize safety valve hydro test equipment with test pressure up to 800bar for you.

Yes. Safety valve leak test, as known as safety valve sealing test, is designed to evaluate safety valve sealing performance to ensure that the safety valve can play a protective role at critical moments. The safety valve tester can verify safety valve sealing performance by pressure drop method. To accurately calculate safety valve leak rate, please use our laser bubble counter.
