The portable PRV testing equipment features a lightweight design with weight 64Kg only. It uses compressed nitrogen as the testing medium, which comes from a nitrogen cylinder. The pressure relief valve testing equipment is suitable for relief valve popping test, reseating test and sealing test. And it is applicable to flange type and thread type relief valves ranging from DN15 to DN200 with maximum test pressure 200bar. The portable and lightweight design allows you carry it to the field or outdoors easily. You only need to remove the relief valve from pipelines or equipment, then you can use the PRV testing equipment to complete relief valve testing and calibration on field immediately.

The portable relief valve testing equipment consists of two parts: Hydraulic clamp kit and Nitrogen decompression kit. With hydraulic pump, movable clamping jaws, flanged PRV sealing disks and threaded PRV adapters, you can easily clamp the relief valve firmly before testing. By adjusting the pressure reducing valve while observing the pressure gauges, you can obtain the desired testing pressure during PRV testing and calibration. In addition, the portable relief valve tester comes with double precision gauges with accuracy class 0.4%FS. Both gauges will display the current pressure value simultaneously, thus avoiding test deviations caused by a single pressure gauge.

How Portable PRV Testing Equipment Works

The portable PRV testing equipment uses compressed nitrogen as the testing medium, so you need to connect a 15MPa or 20MPa nitrogen cylinder to it. First, place your relief valve on the sealing disk or thread adapter, then adjust the movable clamping claws. Next, manually operate the hydraulic pump, it drives the hydraulic cylinder to generate clamping force to fix the relief valve firmly. Then adjust the pressure reducing valve, while observing the double precision gauges to obtain the required pressure for relief valve testing and calibration. If add a laser bubble counter, you can use the PRV tester to perform relief valve leak rate test.
