Natural gas booster pump, also known as CNG booster, is a natural gas pressure booster that can safely compress natural gas up to 25MPa. It uses compressed air as its driving power, thereby avoiding the risk of natural gas being ignited by electric sparks. Natural gas booster adopts dry compression to ensure the purity of natural gas. And it is equipped with the exhaust cooling module to achieve self-cooling and cooling natural gas. In addition, CNG booster has automatic start-stop function. That is, it will automatically stop when reaching your preset pressure, thus avoiding overpressure. Therefore, CNG booster pump is suitable to serve as a CNG filling pump or build a portable CNG filling station.

How to Safely Fill Natural Gas in Cylinders

Driven by compressed air, natural gas booster pump discharge pressure is always proportional to the driving air pressure. Just need to add an air regulator and a pressure gauge, you can easily set or adjust natural gas booster discharge pressure by adjusting the air regulator and reading the pressure gauge.
CNG booster is suitable to serve as a CNG filling pump to help you safely transfer or fill natural gas. Normally, CNG filling pressure is 20MPa. You only need to set a natural gas filling pressure for the pump, and it will compete compressing natural gas and fill it into cylinder in one go. And it will automatically stop filling when reaching your preset pressure, thus avoiding overpressure.

How to adjust natural gas booster discharge pressure?

CNG booster pump discharge pressure is proportional to the driving air pressure. Therefore, you can use an air regulator to adjust air supply pressure, thereby adjusting the natural gas booster discharge pressure.

And if the gauge pressure of your natural gas is zero, please select our models GS-GBS01, GS-GBS02 or GS-GBS05, all of which have strong self-priming ability. Please contact us for more details.

CNG booster is applicable to natural gas, methane and biogas. It cannot directly process LNG, which is a cryogenic liquified natural gas. You need to use a gas evaporator to convert LNG into normal temperature natural gas, then use CNG booster to compress it.

The natural gas booster pump is equipped with the exhaust cooling module, which utilizes the exhaust air to achieve self-cooling and cool high-pressure natural gas, without consuming additional energy.

The natural gas filling pressure is determined by the nominal working pressure of CNG cylinder. Different CNG cylinders have different nominal working pressures, usually 20MPa or 25MPa. To ensure safety, the natural gas filling pressure is 20MPa normally.
