Water Jacket Method Gas Cylinder Expansion Test Procedures

The water jacket method gas cylinder hydrostatic test system consists of a power console and two water jackets. First, fill water into your cylinder and place it in the water-jacket. Then pressurize the gas cylinder to above its working pressure and then maintain the pressure. During pressure holding period, the cylinder will expand due to internal pressure, thus squeezing some water in the water jacket to a measuring cup. After pressure relief, the gas cylinder will restore partially, so some water in the measuring cup will return to the water jacket. The remaining water in the measuring cup is the residual volumetric deformation of the gas cylinder. The computer will calculate the cylinder deformation rate automatically, thereby determining whether the gas cylinder is qualified. Normally, if a cylinder deformation rate exceeds 10%, the gas cylinder is unqualified and cannot serve.
