160MPa Gas Boosting Pump for Boost Gas

The gas boosting pump is a gas pressure booster that can boost gas up to 160MPa. It uses compressed air as its driving power, no electric spark and flame risk, thus explosion proof and applicable to various gases. The gas booster pump is equipped with double air pistons that can provide strong power for compressing gas. In addition, it comes with the exhaust cooling module that uses the exhaust air to achieve self-cooling and cooling high-pressure gas. Additionally, the gas booster pump has the function of automatic start-stop. That is, it will automatically stop when reaching your preset pressure, thereby preventing overpressure.

How to Operate Gas Boosting Pump

Driven by compressed air, gas boosting pump discharge pressure is always proportional to the driving air pressure. Therefore, if adjust the air supply pressure, the gas booster pump discharge pressure will change accordingly. Just need to add an air regulator and a pressure gauge, you can easily set or adjust gas booster pump discharge pressure by observing the pressure gauge while adjusting the air regulator. In this way, the gas booster pump will constantly suction gas, compress gas and discharge high-pressure gas flow for you.

If the initial pressure of your source gas is very low, ordinary gas boosters can not boost your gas to over 1000bar. The high pressure gas booster system allows you to boost gas as low as 5bar to as high as 1600bar. Here’s how it works. There are two gas booster pumps connected in series inside the machine. The first gas boosting pump will pre-compress your source gas and temporarily store the pressurized gas in a gas buffer tank to eliminate gas pressure pulsation. Subsequently, the second gas boosting pump will re-compress the gas in the gas buffer tank to a higher pressure up to 1600bar. In short, the gas booster system can achieve boosting gas pressure from 5bar up to 1600bar through compressing gas twice in relay.

Gas boosting pump outlet pressure is proportional to the driving air pressure. So if adjust the air supply pressure, the gas booster pump outlet pressure will be adjusted accordingly.
