As well known, Co2 fire extinguisher stores liquid carbon dioxide, sometimes nitrogen gas is also added as auxiliary propellant gas. Carbon dioxide is a high-pressure liquefied gas that must be filled according to the approved weight, and excessive filling Co2 is strictly prohibited. The automatic Co2 fire extinguisher refill machine can help you fill carbon dioxide and nitrogen gas into fire extinguishers safely and efficiently. It integrates four functions of vacuuming fire extinguisher, filling new carbon dioxide, filling nitrogen gas and automatic weighing.
Co2 fire extinguisher refilling machine is equipped with a vacuum pump, which can remove the residual air, moisture and impurities from fire extinguisher before filling new carbon dioxide. There is a Co2 filling pump built in the machine, which can pressurize carbon dioxide. You only need to set a Co2 filling weight on the equipped electronic scale, the machine will automatically complete pressurizing Co2 and filling Co2 in one go. And it will automatically stop when reaching your preset weight, thus prevent overfilling Co2. In addition, the machine is equipped with pressure reducing valve and precision gauge to facilitate your filling nitrogen gas into fire extinguisher accurately.
This is a manual Co2 extinguisher filling machine designed for low-budget users. It retains Co2 filling pump and manual control kit, and cancels the functions of filling nitrogen gas and automatic weight control. Therefore, you need to use an scale to monitor Co2 filling weight by yourself. When reaching your desired Co2 filling weight, you need to manually shut down the machine, thus avoiding excessive filling carbon dioxide.
The liquid carbon dioxide in fire extinguisher can spray and extinguish fires by itself, so it is not mandatory to fill nitrogen in fire extinguisher. However, filling nitrogen into fire extinguisher has two functions. First, nitrogen acts as a propellant gas to increase Co2 spray distance. Second, nitrogen plays an inert role, preventing carbon dioxide from generating static sparks when it reacts with oxygen in the air during spraying.
Before refilling Co2 fire extinguisher, some air, moisture and impurities remain in the fire cylinder. The traditional practice is to execute gas replacement for fire extinguisher.
