Carbon Dioxide CO2 Compressor for Transport Co2

The Co2 compressor or carbon dioxide compressor can pressurize CO2 to achieve liquid Co2 long-distance transportation. For safety reasons, the large LCO2 storage tank storing cryogenic liquid Co2 is usually placed in outdoor ventilated areas, and the low-low-pressure cryogenic Co2 is transported from the storage tank to the terminal through pipelines. If the transportation distance is long, the liquefied carbon dioxide in the pipeline may be partially vaporized due to temperature changes or insufficient pressure, resulting in insufficient liquid Co2 at the terminal. The carbon dioxide compressor can help you transport liquid Co2 from the storage tank to the terminal over long distances.

How Co2 Compressor Works

Co2 compressor consists of Co2 booster pumps and electronic control kit. The multiphase Co2 booster pump built into the machine can process and pressurize both liquid Co2 and gas-liquid mixed Co2. You only need to set a desired pressure on the electric contact pressure gauge, and the two multiphase Co2 booster pumps will work together to constantly compress Co2 and output liquid Co2. The machine will automatically stop when reaching your preset pressure. And it will automatically restart when terminal pressure insufficient thus ensuring that there is always enough liquid Co2 in the Co2 transportation pipeline.

Dry Ice Blasting Co2 Compressor

Dry ice cleaning requires lots of liquid Co2 to produce dry ice, so the large cryogenic storage tank is often used as the source of liquid Co2. The carbon dioxide compressor can transport liquid Co2 from the storage tank to the dry ice pelletizer over long distances by pressurization, thus supplying sufficient liquid Co2 to dry ice pelletizer.
