Co2 booster is a multiphase carbon dioxide pump, which is able to process both carbon dioxide gas and gas-liquid carbon dioxide mixture. That is, multiphase carbon dioxide booster pump can suction low-pressure carbon dioxide, whether in gaseous, vaporous or gas-liquid mixed state, and then discharge high-pressure liquid Co2 through pressurizing carbon dioxide. Therefore, carbon dioxide booster can ensure carbon dioxide always remaining in liquid state during pumping or filling carbon dioxide process. How to Operate Co2 Booster Pump

Carbon dioxide critical pressure is 7.39MPa. Co2 booster pump utilizes pressurizing carbon dioxide to transfer or fill carbon dioxide. It can suction both liquid CO₂ and multiphase CO₂, then pressurize carbon dioxide to above 7.39MPa, thereby discharging liquid carbon dioxide. Co2 booster uses compressed air as driving power, and its discharge pressure is directly proportional to drive air pressure. So you only need to add an air regulator and a pressure gauge, then you can easily set or adjust carbon dioxide booster discharge pressure by reading the pressure gauge while adjusting the air regulator.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can Co2 booster only output liquid CO₂? Can it output high-pressure CO₂ gas?

CO₂ critical temperature is 31.06°C and critical pressure is 7.39MPa. If you use carbon dioxide booster to pressurize CO₂ to above 7.39MPa at a temperature below 31.06°C, you will obtain liquid CO₂. And if you want to get high-pressure CO₂ gas, that is, you don’t want CO₂ liquefaction, you need to control CO₂ temperature above 31.06°C.

If your carbon dioxide is pure liquid which usually comes from dewar tank or cryogenic tank, Liquid carbon dioxide booster is suitable for you. But if your carbon dioxide is pure gas or gas-liquid mixture which usually comes from steel cylinder, multiphase carbon dioxide is more suitable for you.
