Butane Compressor Station for EPE XPS Extrusion Moulding

Butane compressor station, as known as Butane booster station, is a high pressure butane injection system for plastic foaming. It can supply stable high-pressure butane for XPS EPE extrusion molding. EPE XPS extrusion moulding process requires injecting gas foaming agent or blowing agent with stable pressure. Let’s take the common foaming agent butane as an example. Butane is a flammable gas and is usually stored in tanks in the liquid form. When high-pressure liquid butane is injected into the plastic melt, it will vaporize instantly and cause the plastic melt to form a lot of bubbles, thus generating a lightweight and porous material. After extrusion molding, XPS insulation boards, fruit and vegetable foamed nets or other foamed products can be manufactured. The butane compressor injection station uses compressed air as its driving power, thus eliminating the risk of electric sparks igniting butane.

Butane Compressor Station Working Principle

The butane compressor station consists of butane booster pump, gas storage tank, pressure reducing valve, pressure gauges, relief valve and control valves. The working principle is as follows. First of all, the machine suctions butane from a source tank and pressurizes butane to higher pressure. And then stores the pressurized butane in the gas tank to eliminate pressure pulsation and form a ready-to-use storage . When you need to inject butane, only need to adjust the pressure reducing valve, then you will obtain a stable high-pressure liquid butane flow at the required pressure.
