How to Safely Compress Biogas in Cylinders

The biogas produced by the biogas digester will be collected, purified and then stored in a biogas ball, the pressure of which is usually only 0.4bar to 1bar. If you want to store low-pressure biogas in LPG tanks or CNG tanks, you need to compress biogas to 21bar or 200bar respectively. The biogas booster can suction biogas and compress it into high-pressure biogas, even if the gauge pressure of your source biogas is zero. You only need to set a biogas filling pressure by adjusting the air regulator, then the biogas booster pump will compress and fill biogas into your cylinder. And it will automatically stop when reaching your preset pressure.

Yes. Biogas booster has a strong self-priming ability. Even if the gauge pressure of your biogas is zero, it is still able to suction your biogas and boost biogas for you.

Normally, the nominal working pressure of LPG cylinders is 21bar. LPG is filled by weight, but biogas is filled by pressure. Therefore, the maximum filling pressure for filling biogas into LPG cylinders is 21bar.

The nominal working pressure of common used CNG cylinders is 200bar. Biogas is filled according to pressure, so the maximum biogas filling pressure is 200bar if you fill biogas in CNG cylinders.
