In What Situations Vacuuming Cylinder is Necessary?
1.If your gas is used in the food and beverage industry, or requires applications that demand high-purity gas, it is necessary to vacuum the gas cylinder before filling it with gas.
2. If you need to refill flammable gas, such as oxygen, hydrogen, CNG, LPG, butane, propane, refrigerant, it is also essential to vacuum gas cylinder before filling gas.
3. Before refilling fire extinguisher, such as before filling it with new extinguishing agent like Co2, FM200 or NOVEC 1230, vacuuming fire cylinder is required.
How to Vacuum Gas Cylinder or Fire Extinguisher
To vacuum a gas cylinder or fire extinguisher, you need to connect a vacuum pump and a vacuum pressure gauge onto the cylinder valve. Then, start the vacuum pump and observe the vacuum gauge. When the gauge shows the vacuum level in cylinder between -0.5 bar and -1 bar, stop the vacuum pump. Finally you can fill new gas or new extinguishing agent into the cylinder.
