Gas Booster Boost Ratio
To meet the diverse needs of users, we provide gas boosters with various boost ratios for users to choose from. For example, our GBS series gas boosters contain twelve models, that is, twelve different boost ratios. Assuming your air supply pressure is always 8bar, gas booster model GBS05 (boost ratio is 2) can boost gas to 40bar, and GBS150 (boost ratio is 120) can boost gas to 1200bar.
Once you select a model of gas booster, its outlet gas pressure is always proportional to the air supply pressure, and has nothing to do with the inlet gas pressure. For example, our gas booster model GBS15 has a boost ratio of 15. When you use 3bar, 5bar and 8bar compressed air to drive it, the outlet gas pressure is 45bar, 75bar and 120bar respectively.
Gas Compression Ratio
The gas compression ratio refers to the ratio of the outlet gas pressure to the inlet gas pressure of a gas booster. For example, our gas booster model GBS15 pressurizes gas from 10bar to 120bar, so the gas compression ratio at this time is 12. And if GBS15 pressurizes gas from 5 bar to 120bar, so the gas compression ratio at this time is 24. Therefore, the gas compression ratio is not a fixed value, and it changes with the change of initial gas pressure.

Let me summarize: Gas booster’s boost ratio is a fixed value, which directly affects the gas booster outlet pressure. Gas compression ratio is a variable value, and it does not affect the gas booster outlet gas pressure, but affects the gas booster outlet gas flow.
